I checked the battery. There was an ungodly amount of corrosion underneath the battery but not any on the terminals.

I am stumped on an intermittent power issue on my wagon. Model: 2002 V70xc with 257k miles. While driving yesterday/today I was getting an intermittent warning on DIM reading "El. Powersystem Service Required." also red battery warning light is flicking on/off on right sign of console.
