The up-front incentives are available for income-qualified products only and are calculated based on the proposed system size (kilowatts direct current). In most cases, the solar developer or installer will submit an application on your behalf and manage the details of your project directly with Xcel Energy, or you can manage your own application.
What happens if I subscribe to Xcel Energy?
Once subscribed, customers will begin receiving credits on their monthly utility bill for the solar energy that their subscription contributes to the Xcel Energy grid. Curious about how this fits into your sustainability goals?
Do Xcel Energy customers qualify for net metering benefits?
In addition to receiving Net Metering benefits, customers who qualify under the terms of Income Qualified or Disproportionately Impacted Communities can receive an upfront rebate of $1 per watt of installed solar up to 10kW AC. Must be an Xcel Energy residential or business electricity customer.
