I have a Mercruiser 454 stern drive with "Power Assisted Steering" on a 25ft Pursuit. The problem I have is that I want to put a 4 stroke trolling motor on it with a rod hooking it to the outdrive but you can''t steer unless the engine is running. Has anyone ever replaced this with a regular hydraulic steering system?
